It has been another busy 12 months for the Old Framlinghamian Golf Society (OFGS)
but tinged with sadness due to the deaths of three of our most senior and long serving
members: Barry Lorkin, John Thurlow and David Mitchell. Barry died in December 2023,
having been Captain of OFGS in 1969, 2008 and 2009, and Secretary for nearly 20 years
up to 2005. John Thurlow, Captain in 1997, although not playing in recent years, died in
June. David, a member for many years, Captain in 1998, died in July. All will be sorely
missed. Further details about all three members can be found on the SOF website.
